John Reid has been teaching science at Douglass High School for 7 years. He shares the outdoors with his students building classroom community and self-esteem while reinforcing science concepts. He also likes to connect students to the community through volunteer projects. He is very excited about the Bike Project and the support he is getting from Pednet, the Metro Rotary Club and his new boss, Dr. Neville. He spends most of his free time hiking in nature and kayaking on the Missouri River and traveling.
